  • My family left for Germany today. That was hard. Good-byes are never fun. I mean, I'm not one of those people who's just awful at making them -- you know who you are. =] But then, with family, it's always hard. BUT I'll be seeing them again at Christmas, which is so wonderful, and I know that this semester will fly by at least as fast as all the others!

I head off for junior year on Friday. It's surreal. I mean, come on, junior year?? Already?!! Am I ready for this? A lot of new things are awaiting me. I'm going back in time for freshman orientation in order to greet all the new MKs and their parents. I'm on Mu Kappa cabinet this year (take a wild guess at which position), so I guess that means I'll definitely be going to snow camp again this year! Woohoo! So make your plans now! Around the third weekend every January! Get together with other MKs (or wannabes) and make a road trip out! Another new part of this year: my TA position. I'll be TAing (just created that verb) for Post Communist Politics, which is incredible. I couldn't take the class myself, so hopefully I'll be able to learn a few things without being there. And, finally, one of the greatest new things: my apartment!! Yes!! The more summer has gone on, the more excited I've grown about the apartment. Despite the cold Wheaton weather. =]

If you read this soon, please lift my family up in prayer as they are at this moment flying back to Germany, and as, in the coming weeks, they prepare for another new year, make room assignments, train a new RA, and all that jazz. Also for my sister, who will be preparing for volleyball as well as preparing to take on her senior year! Don't even get me started on that one -- I'll be bawling all over the place! =]

    Love to all. sarah.

  • You are most assuredly correct about the whole "davie" thing.  I have not forgotten. I distinctly remember telling somebody that you were the first person that called me davie.  Good fun.  Sorry you had to say goodbye to your family.  I'll look after them while you're away.  This is going to be my first year completely away from all family members!  So sad.  Take care.  loads of love,        Davie.  ;)
